Confirmation
The gift of the Holy Spirit, sealing what was begun in baptism.
In Confirmation the baptised are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and bound more perfectly to the Church. It completes what baptism began, and strengthens a Christian to bear witness by word and by life.
The sacrament is conferred by the Bishop, or by a priest he delegates, when he visits the parish. Candidates prepare over a period of instruction in their Small Christian Community and at the mission station.
