Sunday Mass

The whole week

Groups and societies

A parish is carried by its people. These are the councils, commissions and societies through which that work is done.

Councils

Parish Pastoral Council

The council that advises the Parish Priest on the pastoral life of the parish.

Made up of representatives of the five mission stations and of the pastoral commissions, together with the priests and religious working in the parish. It meets to plan and to review the pastoral work of Christ the King Parish.

Mission Pastoral Councils

One for each of the five mission stations.

Each of our mission stations — Nkambe Town, Moh, Njema, Konchep and Ngwayuh — has its own pastoral council, whose executive represents the station at parish and deanery level.

Meets At each mission station

Commissions

Pastoral Commissions

The commissions through which the pastoral plan is carried out.

Each commission has a President and a Secretary at parish level, and reports on its activities through the Parish Pastoral Council.

The full list of commissions is still to be added by the parish.

Associations

Association of Women of the Cross

Launched at parish level on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 2026.

The Association was launched in the parish with a Mass at Christ the King, Nkambe Town, on 14 September 2026, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

Committees

Finance Committee

Counts the alms at every level, and keeps the trail of who handed what to whom.

There is a Finance Committee at each level of the parish. Its members count the alms, record what was counted, and pass the money on against the signature of whoever collects it — so any amount can be traced from the Small Christian Community to the Parish, and back again.

Societies

Cadets of Mary

The young people’s society, which takes part in the diocesan rally.

The parish supports its Cadets in the Diocesan Rally each year.

Prayer and Action Groups

The prayer and action groups of the parish, which report yearly on their work.

All Prayer and Action Groups at parish level submit their activity reports for synthesis ahead of the Deanery Pastoral Week.

The individual groups are still to be listed by the parish.
