The parish lives on what its people give. Whatever you offer — at Mass, by mobile money, or towards a project — is recorded and accounted for.

At Mass The alms are counted by members of the Finance Committee at each level, recorded, and passed on against the signature of whoever collects them — so any amount can be traced from the Small Christian Community to the Parish, and back again.

Christian contribution

The yearly contribution every adult member of the parish is asked for.

The Christian contribution is the ordinary way a Catholic supports the parish that serves them. It is collected through the Small Christian Communities and recorded against your name, so you can ask at any time what has been received from you.

Harvest

The yearly thanksgiving for what the land and our work have given.

Harvest is brought in kind and in cash, station by station. What is brought in kind is auctioned, and both the goods and the money are entered in the parish books on the day.

Mass stipends and stole fees

Having a Mass said for someone, and the offerings that go with baptisms, weddings and funerals.

To have a Mass offered for someone living or dead, speak to the Parish Office or to your catechist. Every intention is written in the Mass book with the date on which it will be said.

School fees for children in need

Helping pay the fees of the children in our schools whose families cannot.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)

Over forty-eight children in our schools need help with their fees this school year. A gift of any size is applied against a named child’s account and receipted.

Where it goes. The parish keeps its books in a system the Diocesan Finance Office can read, and every entry carries the date, the amount and what it was for. Nothing is ever rubbed out: a correction leaves the original in place and records the reason beside it.
